Blog Buddy Response #14

How did your peers inform your practice of new literacies and adolescent literature?

  1. Overall, I really enjoyed having that access to everyone's work and ideas through the wiki page and blogs. There were a lot of times where, since it was an online course, I could not quite "imagine" what it was that I was supposed to do or quite what it should look like, etc. It really helped me to see other people's work and allowed me to gain ideas or insights into things. For example, the blogs really opened my eyes to other people's ideas and interpretations of the reading. It really demonstrated that everyone reacts and interprets texts differently, and sometimes dramatically differently. One person could have loved a book whereas another one hated it. I felt that overall the wiki allowed for an exchange of ideas better than often offered my other classes.
